RICHARD W. METZGER Richard W. Metzger, CTC, DS has been in the travel industry for over thirty years. In the 1980s and early 90s he was the co-entrepreneur and owner of a highly successful travel agency. Rich is presently involved in travel industry education and has over twelve years of teaching experience as an instructor at several Boston area colleges. His teachings include business, communications and hospitality. Rich has an undergraduate degree in management, and holds an MBA - graduating Summa Cum Laude. Rich has provided Hocus Pocus Tours with his valuable research skills since late 2004 and particularly enjoys touring which allows him to entertain and educate guests about this city by the sea. Visitors have been delighted with the personalized attention he provides and also the details he has researched which bring Salem’s past alive. His favorite Salem highlight, the Parker Brother factory which one stood adjacent to the present-day commuter rail stop. Rich particular enjoys 17th century colonial economics and its link to the Salem Witchcraft Hysteria.
