The Hocus Pocus tour was absolutely fabulous. Susan did an outstanding job of bringing history to life. She took the time to learn a little something about everyone on the tour and used that knowledge to personalize everyone's experience. This tour was by far more than I expected and well worth it. The Hocus Pocus tour was a great experience for my family (ranging from age 11 years - 66 years). Susan was excellent and did a great job of keeping everyone interested and involved. Not only did she provide a great tour, but she also was very helpful with suggestions and directions regarding other points of interest and historical sites worth seeing. We loved this tour, actually it has been our favorite in recent years. The time during the tour goes by extremely fast, because it is so entertaining. Each building telling us its story, the guides are a lovely couple that are so in love with Salem that it is contagious, the knowledge is solid and they speak so clearly that even if English is not your native language, they will see that you understand. Words cannot describe how grateful I am to have been on your magical tour of Salem. After a less than impressive visit to a Salem must see I had nearly lost all hope that there was anything authentic left in Salem. Then, much to my delight, I took your tour! I found it to be exactly what I was looking for and can't describe to you how much I appreciate that you're not a typical ghost walk tour. It was wonderful to walk through the streets and feel as if you were transcending time to join the puritans on the very same path. Like others have said, Susan, my guide, made history come to life. The witch trail victims weren't exploited on this tour; they were remembered as human beings who lost their lives amidst a devastating hysteria that gripped this small town. Susan's narration throughout the town was phenomenal and always very interesting to listen to! After the tour they spent time with us discussing other attractions nearby that ought not be missed such as Danvers and Marblehead. As a special treat Rich, our guide’s assistant, took note that I was interested in the feature film Hocus Pocus and gave me a map of locations used in the movie, which was extremely thoughtful of him! I would recommend this tour to anyone who is planning on visiting Salem and would like to shed light on its dark history. I guarantee you'll be spooked and delighted by the end of your walk and won't want it to end. I certainly wished I could've taken my knowledgeable tour guides with me for the rest of my stay in Massachusetts!
